I wore this a couple of days ago. The chunky necklace is not really me, but I thought I'd throw it in for the heck of it.
I appreciated your guys' comments yesterday. When I wrote the post I was in a less-than-cheery mood and that came through. In no way, however, did I mean to whine or complain about my situation, there isn't much to complain about. Besides, I don't believe in notions as "fair". There is no such thing. Life isn't fair, some people do have to work harder than others for the things they want. If you want it, you go for it, simple as that. And I didn't mean to disregard schooling as a waste of time, education is very important. It's just so funny to me when kids expect the red carpet treatment after graduating, since Universities, for the most part constrict their students in an artificial environment that doesn't provide all the skills necessary to compete in the real world. There are no grades in the real world, just the will to fight and succeed.

You've sort of hit the nail on the head for one of my greatest fears as a university student. I've been learning so much THEORY that I still feel like I'm completely unprepared to enter the business world and just real life in general. At least I snagged myself an internship on the side...

It's very interesting to hear about your past. Even if you missed out on the opportunity to go to Stern, it looks like you're probably living a far more interesting life now (or atleast that's how it appears on your blog) than if you went and studied at business school (which is full of bores anyway). And you get to study anyway (which I still think is really important)...
