Spain

Calpe

Benidorm

Grenada / Alahmbra

Marbella

Gibraltar

Just got back from an amazing trip to the South of Spain. It was very spontaneous and pretty rushed. I was tired and hungry most of the time, but it was worth it. Calpe's pristine waters, Benidorm's incredible skyline, Alahmbra's magnificent architecture and beautiful gardens, Marbella's authenticity and Gibraltar.. Gibraltar was the cherry on top. You can see Africa and there are monkeys running around everywhere, completely unhazed by humans. I am super impressed by the monkeys :o).

I tried to catch up with everyone's emails. If you've written to me and haven't heard back, please e-mail me again. I will be listing more mummy dresses in a couple of days, thank you so much for the interest!

Streaks

Another day, another blazer. The weather has gotten a little bit better, but the sun is still very elusive. I was planning on flying to Bulgaria tomorrow or monday, but my plans changed yesterday so tomorrow I am going on a little trip somewhere I've never been to before.. Stay tuned! :)

Blazer: Bebe. I got this four years ago, wore it once and put it away. I rediscovered it just recently and I'm pretty sure it will get lots of wear from now on.

Tube Dress: Made by me. I wear this mostly as a top, but it doubles nicely as a dress or skirt.

Belt: Linea Pelle. I'm working this belt pretty hard, it's probably the one accessory I can't live without. I remember being so desperate for a black cinch belt right before I got it (about two years ago). I was about to spend 80$ for it on bluefly but held off and found it the next day for $10 at TJ Maxx. Gotta love a happy ending! :o)

Heels: Bally

Blue Velvet

If the weather keeps going like this pretty soon I'll run out of blazers to wear :o). Anyway, I had my final law exam today so I am officially done with the school year.

Velvet Blazer: Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent. Love the texture as much as I love the royal blue.

Silk Blouse: Banana Republic. It is by far my favorite blouse, the blood red color, the sheer silk - it is opulent and delicate at the same time.

Jeans: BDG

Booties: YSL

'It's always raining', I end up saying..

Not such a big fan of wearing booties in summer, but with the constant rain I do not have much of a choice. I did use to own a pair of rain boots, wonder where those went..

Blazer: Vintage. Got it at a private sale a couple of months ago. It was a steal at 2 euros, especially considering the great fit. I'm not such a big fan of thrifting clothes to tell you the truth. I mean, I love vintage pieces, when they come out of a family member's closet.. What I mean is, I still feel a little aversion to wearing this blazer but at the same time I love it so much. So I walk around at odds with myself :o).

Dress: Made by me. Main culprit for my goofing around in these pictures, I love how it moves. More of this dress here.

Booties: YSL. I wore the life out of them this winter, but it was hard not to, they go with everything.

It's all about the hue

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, despite what seems to be a global drop in temperatures over the last two days. I actually enjoyed mine more because of it. I love rain.
About this outfit - wore it to brunch this morning. Red and orange together is not a very conventional choice, but as the title states- it's all about the hue.

Velvet Blazer: Banana Repiblic. Love the color and the texture. I've had it for five years and don't see it leaving my wardrobe anytime soon.

Silk Blouse: H Hilfiger. Definitely on the dressy side, but a great summer piece nonetheless.

Heels: Prada. I promise I'll take close-ups of them soon.

Silk and perseverance

While we're on the subject of shoes.. These shoe-sales all around keep luring me in :o). I tried on a sick pair of Jimmy Choo's yesterday, they fit perfectly and looked soo good, but were too high and super uncomfortable to walk in. Which I suppose is a good thing, because it gave me the strength to walk away from the store. Even at 50% off these babys had a healthy little pricetag. And yet I still mourn them (you know how it is).

Jacket: BCBG. Love this little linen safari number, it has such a flattering shape.

Dress: It's a tube I made out of tricot a couple of weeks ago. It is so versatile. I wear it like a top, a dress or a skirt.

Scarf: I do love to play with scarves. I made this one last year out of some silk I had left over. I've been meaning to make myself more.. I like to belt them over dresses for a touch of whimsy.

Shoes: Bally. I had no idea Brian Atwood is Bally's new creative director, but that little trivia explains the great design.

Smile

Someone told me I should smile more, and ever the one to please - here I go.

Jeans: Urban Outfitters BDG. Love this pair and I will wear it to death. Gotta add some zippers on the bottom though, I constantly think of doing it and never get around to it.

Shirt: My cousin's. I think of him everytime I wear it. Volumous men's shirts go so well with leggings and skinny pants/jeans.

Pumps: Bally - they have their annual summer sale going on right now so if you're in Vienna, go to their Kaertnerstrasse Store and raid what's left.
